The natural gas peak shaving and supply guarantee capacity of the Tarim Oilfield has been continuously rising.

On January 26, it was learned that the Tarim gas storage cluster, including the Yahe and Kokya gas storage facilities, has seen a continuous increase in gas production since the start of the winter gas extraction this year, effectively supporting the winter gas supply demand.
During this winter supply period, Tarim Oilfield has actively played the role of underground gas storage as a "regulator", implementing various measures such as strengthening injection and extraction, technological breakthroughs, and operational optimization. Relying on innovative technologies, it has achieved 100% digital coverage and fully implemented an intelligent control model of "unmanned operation + regular inspection + remote monitoring", initially establishing the Tarim gas storage cluster. The peak shaving capacity and daily gas supply capacity have both doubled compared to last year, making significant contributions to ensuring a warm winter for the people in southern Xinjiang.
The Kokya gas storage facility, located on the southern edge of the Tarim Basin, is known as the "first granary" for winter gas supply in southern Xinjiang. After the third round of gas injection, it has achieved the largest-scale "energy reserve". Currently, the facility is fully leveraging the role of the AI production control system "Ku Xiaozhi", with emergency response efficiency increasing by 65% and gas production growing by 11 percentage points compared to last year, providing a solid guarantee for winter gas supply.
The Yahe gas storage facility, a deep gas storage facility in China, was converted from an exhausted gas reservoir and is located on the northern edge of the Tarim Basin. This winter, with the addition of six new wells to the winter supply, the daily gas production has exceeded 8 million cubic meters for the first time. At the same time, the facility has for the first time applied domestic optical fiber monitoring technology, achieving real-time monitoring and data visualization of underground temperature and pressure at low cost, significantly enhancing the safety of injection and extraction and operational efficiency.
Currently, the two "twin stars" of gas storage facilities in the north and south of Tarim Oilfield have established an efficient linkage mechanism. Through precise demand prediction and scientific gas supply planning, they are operating at full capacity with hard measures, building a solid energy barrier for southern Xinjiang to withstand cold waves and ensure energy supply for people's livelihood, safeguarding the warm winter of all ethnic groups.
